Description

Frangipani Cottage is a gracious old colonial providing fully self-contained, up-market executive accommodation for you and the family pet.

Set on a large and level corner block it was designed to take advantage of the prevailing breezes and views of the mountains with its northerly aspect.

It is painted throughout in cool, light colours and the walls hung with paintings and prints. The decor is stylish with many personal touches and the furniture has been chosen with comfort in mind.

The Cottage is conveniently close to all amenities and is within walking distance of the local shopping center, restaurants and transport. Beautiful Queen's Park is only a few minutes drive away while Ipswich General Hospital and St Andrew's Private Hospital are four kilometers away.

This spacious home offers three bedrooms and a fully equipped generously sized country style kitchen with built in laundry. There is reverse cycle air-conditioning throughout the formal lounge, dining & family rooms plus the kitchen. Master has air-conditioning and a ceiling fan, second bedroom has a ceiling fan and the third bedroom has a stand alone fan with wrap around windows to maximize the breezes.

The main bathroom offers the choice of a full size bath or shower and the three bedrooms all have double beds. There is a choice of living areas with formal lounge and family room plus a sunroom with a day bed which can be used as an extra bed.

If you enjoy occasional outdoor dining, the veranda is a lovely leafy spot where you can soak up the mountain views and pretty garden setting.

Things To Do

Being one of Queensland's oldest cities, Ipswich is renowned for its heritage listed buildings, churches and elegant homes. With many antique and art and craft shops you can also take advantage of the many tours available and explore the country areas at Ipswich's doorstep such as Marburg with its famous Woodlands Centre.

Take the kids to visit "The Workshops" railway museum or visit the Global Art Links Gallery situated in the refurbished Old Town Hall.

College's Crossing is a popular picnic haunt where canoeing is a favourite pastime or if you prefer a bit more excitment why not take time out at the Bundamba Horse Racing Track.

The Cottage is also only a short 10 to 15 minute drive to Willowbank Raceway.

*** Brisbane is conveniently close to Ipswich with the CBD being approximately a half hour drive away. We are also only about 40 to 50 minutes drive from Dreamworld, Movie World and Wet'n'Wild on the Gold Coast.

So whether it's a day at the beach, country or city, Ipswich is not only a relaxing and friendly place to stay, it is also very handy to all.

Our stay at the Cottage, was very pleasant. The home is quite large and roomy, so it made our stay for the few days much more enjoyable. Our hosts were very helpful, with any requests. And for the future I would not hesitate to return to the Frangipani Cottage, if staying for a period of time.

We had a wonderful (if to short ) stay at frangipani cottage made all the more delightful by Lyndall & Nicks' hospitality . The cottage is very comfortable and one wants for nothing, it is ideally situated being close to shops and transport .
We hope we can stay again. Myrna & Charles Neill

We had a great stay at Frangipani Cottage. A very well appointed accomodation. Plenty of room for ourselves and 4 Adult children. Plenty of reading, DVD's, beautiful linen and a well stocked kitchen. Have rebooked for next year. Thank you Lyndall.

We had a delightful four day stay at Frangipani Cottage. We were sorry we had to spend so much time at a convention and so little enjoying the Cottage. The home was beautifully prepared and presented with lovely crisp linen on the beds, access to to plenty of reading material and thoughtfully supplied milk and cereal in the kitchen. My husband is sorry he didn't have time to watch the Loony Tunes DVD!!!

It was so good to have our Pomeranium in a relaxed environment. We hope to stay again.

It was an absolute pleasure staying there. It made our life MUCH easier for my sister and myself, trying to cope with the 3 bubs at once! The accommodation was very 'homely' as well as very well stocked with items/appliances that we needed, so - again, thanks!

We will definitely be contacting you if/when we come up to visit again...

What a wonderful holiday we had staying at Frangipani Cottage. We were made feel welcome, supported in every way, we were "AT HOME" there. Nothing was too much trouble and our dog Mr Ronson enjoyed his stay too. Thankyou Lyndall, Nick and Charlie for your hospitality and allowing us to call Frangipani Cottage home for our few weeks there. We will be back!
Mollie & John - February 2007
Our family of 6 recently had the pleasure of staying at Frangipani Cottage and were very comfortable. We found the cottage both homely and charming and it had everything we needed and more. We took great delight in the old furnishings and books and do not hesitate in recommending it to others. We'll be back!
